What is Indian Navy MR Recruitment?

The Indian Navy MR recruitment is conducted twice a year and gives young people with less technical knowledge to become part of the Navy. The full form of MR is Matric Recruitment and the education qualification depends on the profile you are applying for.

Indian Navy MR recruits for these three profiles –

1. Sanitary Hygienist

Sanitary Hygienist (MR) is responsible for taking care of the hygiene and cleanliness of washrooms and other areas. They also have other duties, as per the requirement of the Navy.

2. Chef

The duties of the Chef (MR) include setting the menu, preparing food and taking care of the rations provided.

3. Steward

Steward (MR) has many duties most of which are related to the smooth functioning of the organisation. This includes but is not limited to housekeeping, accounting, rationing food and wine, etc.

What is Indian Navy SSR Recruitment?

Authorities release the eligibility criteria for the Indian Navy MR SSR AA Exam  after great deliberation. Before anything else, candidates who are planning to appear for the exam should be aware of the Indian Navy eligibility criteria and carefully consider them. They should strictly adhere to them as the candidates failing to fulfil the eligibility standards will not be allowed to participate in the recruitment process.

Indian Navy SSR /AA- Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must be unmarried and an Indian Citizen to be eligible for Indian Navy SSR & AA.
The Candidates who wish to apply for SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit) and Artificer Apprentice (AA), must have qualified 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics, with at least one of these subjects – Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science

What is Indian Navy SSR Recruitment?

Indian Navy SSR Recruitment is a wonderful opportunity for young men to serve as sailors in the prestigious institution of the Navy. As a Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR), candidates are tasked with handling the most sophisticated ships, submarines, missile destroyers, and more. They operate various equipment like sonars and radars and are also trained in weaponry to operate missiles, rockets, and guns.

To become an Indian Navy SSR, one must have studied Science in 12th class with Mathematics and Biology. If selected, candidates go through intensive training at INS Chilka and are made experts in managing different roles at different points in time.

Indian Navy SSR AA Age Limit

  • Candidates should be born between 01 Aug 2002 to 31 July 2005 (Both dates inclusive).

Indian Navy MR- Eligibility Criteria

  1. The candidate must be unmarried and an Indian Citizen to be eligible for Indian Navy MR.
  2. Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Indian Navy MR Age Limit

  • The candidates should be born between 01 Apr 2001 to 30 Sep 2004 (Both dates inclusive).

The SSR, AA exam will consist of 100 questions. Each Question carries 01 marks for the correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong marks. No marks shall be deducted for unattempted responses.

All of the above measures were required and valid. The chosen applicants were shortlisted for medical review after the approval of the physical tests.

3. Medical Test

The minimum height acceptable for recruitment will be 152.5 cms. For the following trades the minimum required height (determined at training centers) would be as indicated:-

Medical standards for various applications are unique at the entry-level. The medical examination shall be carried out by licensed military doctors in compliance with medical standards specified in the current regulations relating to the admission of sailors. Candidates deemed temporarily unfit during induction can take advantage of specialist examination from the designated military hospital within a total of 21 days.

Indian Air Force Group X, Y Eligibility Criteria:

Number of Attempts

There is no official restriction on the number of attempts for Air Force Group X and Y Exam. Candidates can appear for Air Force Group X and Y Exam as long as they satisfy the above-mentioned eligibility criteria.

Selection Stages of IAF Airmen Group X & Y

The selection for Airmen Group X & Y posts in the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be based on the following 3 stages:

    •  Stage 1: Written Tes
    • Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test
    • Stage 3: Medical Test
    •  Stage 4: Merit List

    Airforce Group X & Y  Written Test

    The Phase I consists of an All India Selection Test which will be conducted this year only at different centres. The Indian Air Force Group X and Y exam mode is online. Following is the sequence of

    The test will be in bilingual language (both English and Hindi) except for the English paper. The paper is of 10+2 level. There will be a sectional cutoff for all the subjects in addition to an overall cutoff.

    Airforce Group X & Y 

     Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

    The Indian Air Force demands physical fitness and hence it is mandatory to pass the PFT. Following are the fitness test that shall be conducted:

      •  1.6 km run in 6 min 30 sec
      •  10 Push-up
      •  20 Squat
      • 10 Sit-ups

    Note: There are no marks assigned for PFT, it only of qualifying nature.

    Adaptability Test-1:

    The candidates who clear the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will then proceed to the adaptability test where the first test is SRT (Situation Reaction Test). Here the decision making, response/reaction of a candidate is assessed. There are a total of 45 SRTs for which a total of 30 minutes is allotted. This test assesses the attitude of a candidate in response to the qualities set by the defence forces for selecting a candidate of the right frame of mind.

    Adaptability Test-2:

    After clearing the Adaptability Test 1, selected candidates appear for Group Discussion. This comprises of 10-15 candidates sitting in a group which are assigned a common topic and discuss their views on it. The topics are related to current affairs and social events. This test checks the knowledge as well as the communication skill of a person. Interpersonal skills such as convincing ability are also assessed.
    After clearing all the rounds, those candidates that are shortlisted are given Test Series with the dates of medical examinations along with the venue.

    Airforce Group X & Y 

    Medical Test

    The candidates after clearing Adaptability Test 2 then appear for medical examination where they are checked and cleared medically.

    Airforce Group X & Y : Merit List

    All those candidates who have cleared the medical are then shortlisted on the basis of marks and based on that a merit list is made. The candidates whose name is mentioned in the merit list are issued a call letter and enrolled in the Indian Air Force with Joint Basic Training being carried out at Belgavi, Karnataka.
